🔸 السيرة الذاتية (العربية)
وليد قادري كاتب ومترجم سعودي من منطقة جازان، وُلد عام 1978، ويُعد من أبرز الأصوات المعاصرة في أدب الخيال العلمي، والرعب، والفانتازيا، والواقعية السحرية في المشهد الأدبي السعودي.
كتب أكثر من 200 قصة تتناول موضوعات تمتد من الواقع النفسي والتأمل الفلسفي إلى الأسطورة المحلية والخيال العلمي، ونُشر عدد منها في كتب مثل «ذات حكاية» و**«الأبواب التي رأت»**، بينما يستعد لإصدار مجموعته الجديدة «قصص تمردت على قبعة الكاتب»، التي تضم مئة قصة تتنوع بين القصة القصيرة والقصة القصيرة جدًا، وتستكشف حدود السرد عبر أساليب وتجارب غير تقليدية.
صدر له خمسة كتب، أولها «اعترافات متأخرة» عام 2018 عن دار جازان للنشر، ثم ثلاثة كتب متتالية عن دار تشكيل هي: «ذات حكاية»، و**«أثر»، و«الأبواب التي رأت»**، وأخيرًا كتاب «بالِتّة» عن دار يسطرون في يناير 2025، وهو عمل يجمع بين التأملات والنصوص المفتوحة، وينقل القارئ بين عوالم داخلية وخارجية تمتزج فيها المشاهد الحسية بالأسئلة الوجودية.
ومن أبرز مشاريعه السردية القادمة سلسلة «بائعة الخرافين»، وهي عمل فانتازي متعدد الأجزاء يعيد تشكيل الميثولوجيا الجيزانية في قالب معاصر، من خلال عالم سردي مترابط يمزج بين الحكاية الشعبية والأسطورة والرؤية الرمزية الحديثة، ويقدّم قراءة جديدة للموروث المحلي ضمن بناء روائي واسع.
كما يعمل على مشروع فكري بعنوان «آفاق في عين العالم»، وهو سلسلة مقالات نقدية وتأملية تمتد إلى نحو 500 مقال، موزعة على ثلاثة أقسام: «صرح من خيال»، و**«كلمات وأطلال»، و«المخبوء خلف الظلال»**، تتناول الإنسان، والفكر، والثقافة، والوجود من منظور تحليلي وتأملي.
نُشرت أعماله ومقالاته في عدد من الصحف والمجلات العربية، منها: مجلة اليمامة، وصحيفة آخر أخبار الأرض، وصحيفة نبض العرب، وصحيفة الكرويتات، ومجلة فرقد، كما شارك في برامج وحوارات ثقافية عبر منصات إعلامية متخصصة.
قدّم دورات ومحاضرات وورشًا أدبية في الأندية الأدبية، ومعارض الكتب، والجهات الثقافية داخل المملكة وخارجها، من أبرزها: «الأجناس غير الشائعة في الأدب العربي»، و**«الواقعية السحرية في الأدب»، و«من أين أتت الأساطير؟!»**، إلى جانب ورش متخصصة في بناء الحبكة، وتقنيات السرد، وبناء الشخصيات، والكتابة الرمزية.
وخلال عام 2026 كثّف اهتمامه بتطوير نظرياته وتجربته السردية، وبدأ العمل على مشروع بحثي لتوثيق المصطلحات والاتجاهات السردية الحديثة تحت عنوان «بين دهاليز السرد»، كما واصل تطوير عالمه القصصي الممتد عبر عدد من مشاريعه القادمة، ساعيًا إلى بناء مكتبة مترابطة تتقاطع فيها الشخصيات والأفكار والعوالم.
يتميّز أسلوبه بدمج الواقعي بالغرائبي، وبالاعتماد على البساطة اللغوية بوصفها وسيلة للوصول إلى العمق لا غايةً في ذاتها، كما يتبنى رؤية رمزية للظواهر الغيبية، تميل إلى قراءة الميثولوجيا والرموز الدينية والأسطورية بوصفها انعكاسات لثنائية الخير والشر، مع المحافظة على مرجعيته التوحيدية، وتقديم أسئلة فلسفية وإنسانية من خلال السرد.

🔸 Biography (English)
Waleed Gadri is a Saudi writer and translator from the Jazan region, born in 1978. He is regarded as one of the prominent contemporary voices in Saudi literature, particularly in the fields of science fiction, horror, fantasy, and magical realism.
He has written more than 200 short stories exploring themes that range from psychological reality and philosophical reflection to local mythology and science fiction. Several of these works have been published in collections such as Once upon a story and The All-Seeing Doors. He is currently preparing the publication of his forthcoming collection, Stories Coup on the Writers Hat, featuring one hundred short stories and flash fiction pieces that push the boundaries of conventional storytelling through experimental narrative forms.
Gadri is the author of five published books. His debut, Late Confessions, was released in 2018 by Jazan Publishing House, followed by three consecutive titles published by Tashkeel Publishing: A Tale of Its Own, Trace, and The All-Seeing Doors. His most recent work, Palette, was published by Yasturun Publishing in January 2025. The book presents a literary experience that moves readers between inner and outer worlds, blending sensory imagery with existential reflection.
Among his major forthcoming projects is The Myth Seller, a multi-volume fantasy series that reimagines the mythology of Jazan within a contemporary narrative framework. The series builds an interconnected fictional universe where folklore, myth, and symbolic storytelling converge to offer a modern interpretation of the region’s cultural heritage.
He is also developing a long-term collection of critical and reflective essays titled Horizons Through the Eyes of the World, comprising approximately 500 essays divided into three volumes: An Edifice of Imagination, Words and Ruins, and What Lies Behind the Shadows. The project examines humanity, culture, philosophy, and existence through an analytical and contemplative lens.
His stories and articles have appeared in several Arab newspapers and literary magazines, including Al Yamamah Magazine, Akhir Akhbar Al-Ard, Nabd Al-Arab, Al-Kurwaitat Newspaper, and Farqad Magazine. He has also participated in cultural programs and interviews on specialized media platforms, including ARC Channel.
Gadri has delivered literary courses, lectures, and workshops at literary clubs, book fairs, and cultural institutions across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region. His presentations include Unconventional Literary Genres in Arabic Literature, Magical Realism in Literature, and Where Did Myths Come From?, in addition to specialized workshops on plot construction, narrative techniques, character development, and symbolic writing.
Throughout 2026, he expanded his research into contemporary narrative theory by launching Through the Labyrinths of Narrative, an ongoing project dedicated to documenting modern literary terminology and emerging narrative forms. At the same time, he continued developing an interconnected fictional universe spanning several forthcoming works, where characters, ideas, and stories intersect across multiple books.
His writing is distinguished by its seamless fusion of reality and the uncanny, employing clear and accessible language as a vehicle for intellectual depth rather than ornamentation. His works frequently reinterpret mythology and supernatural motifs through a monotheistic worldview, treating religious and mythical symbols as reflections of the enduring struggle between good and evil while inviting readers to engage with profound philosophical and human questions through narrative.
