🔸 السيرة الذاتية (العربية)
وليد قادري كاتب ومترجم سعودي من منطقة جازان، وُلد عام 1978، ويُعد من أبرز الأصوات المعاصرة في مقالات وقصص الخيال العلمي، والرعب، والفانتازيا في الأدب العربي الحديث.
كتب أكثر من 200 قصة تُعالج موضوعات تتراوح بين الواقع النفسي، والتأمل الفلسفي، والأسطورة المحلية. نُشر بعضها في كتب مثل “ذات حكاية”، و”الأبواب التي رأت”، و”قصص تمردت على قبعة الكاتب”.
صدر له خمسة كتب، أولها “اعترافات متأخرة” عام 2018 عن دار جازان للنشر، ثم ثلاثة كتب متتالية من دار تشكيل: “ذات حكاية”، “أثر”، و”الأبواب التي رأت”، وأخيرًا كتاب “بالِتّة” عن دار يسطرون في يناير 2025، ويُعد تجربة فنية تنقل القارئ بين عوالم داخلية وخارجية، تمتزج فيها المشاهد الحسية بالتأملات الوجودية.
من أبرز مشاريعه السردية القادمة سلسلة “بائعة الخرافين”، وهي عمل فانتازي متعدد الأجزاء يعيد تشكيل الميثولوجيا الجيزانية في قالب معاصر، من خلال ثلاثية تبدأ بجبل أمدقم وتنتهي بما لم تحكه الجدات، وتمزج بين السرد الشعبي والرؤية الرمزية الحديثة.
إلى جانب الكتابة السردية، يعمل على مشروع مقالات نقدية–تأملية بعنوان “آفاق في عين العالم”، وهو سلسلة تمتد إلى 500 مقال موزعة على ثلاثة أقسام: “صرح من خيال”، “كلمات وأطلال”، و”المخبوء خلف الظلال”.
نُشرت مقالاته وأعماله في عدد من الصحف والمجلات، منها: مجلة اليمامة، صحيفة آخر أخبار الأرض، صحيفة نبض العرب، صحيفة الكرويتات، ومجلة فرقد. وله مشاركات مرئية في قنوات ثقافية معروفة، منها قناة ARC.
قدّم دورات أدبية في الأندية الأدبية، ومعارض الكتب، والمنصات الثقافية في المملكة والخليج، منها: “الأجناس غير الشائعة في الأدب العربي”، و*“الواقعية السحرية في الأدب”،* إلى جانب محاضرات وورش متخصصة في تقنيات السرد والكتابة الرمزية.
يتميّز أسلوبه بدمج الواقعي بالغرائبي، ويتبنى رؤية رمزية للظواهر الغيبية، تميل إلى تأويل الميثولوجيا في ضوء التوحيد، وقراءة الرموز الدينية والأسطورية بوصفها انعكاسات لثنائية الخير والشر.

🔸 Biography (English)
Waleed Gadri is a Saudi writer and translator from Jazan, born in 1978. He is considered one of the prominent contemporary voices in Arabic science fiction, fantasy, and horror literature.
Gadri has written over 200 stories exploring themes of psychological realism, philosophical reflection, and local mythology. His work has been published in several books, including “That Story”, “The Doors That Saw”, and “Stories That Rebelled Against the Writer’s Hat.”
He has published five books to date: his debut “Late Confessions” (2018, Jazan Publishing House), followed by three books from Tashkeel Publishing (“That Story”, “Trace”, and “The Doors That Saw”), and most recently “Palette” (2025, Yastoroon Publishing), a literary project that blends inner and outer worlds through sensuous imagery and existential reflection.
One of his major upcoming projects is the multi-part fantasy series “The Tale Seller”, a work that reimagines Jazan’s mythological heritage through a symbolic and modern lens. The trilogy begins with Mount Amdqam and ends with “What the Grandmothers Never Told.”
Alongside his storytelling, he is working on a reflective critical project titled “Horizons Through the Eye of the World”, a series of 500 essays divided into three thematic sections: “A Monument of Imagination”, “Words and Ruins”, and “What Lurks Behind Shadows.”
His writings and articles have been published in several platforms, including Al-Yamamah Magazine, Akhbar Al-Ard, Nabd Al-Arab, Al-Karwaitat, and Farqad Magazine. He has also appeared on well-known cultural YouTube channels, including ARC.
Gadri has conducted writing workshops and literary lectures in literary clubs, exhibitions, and cultural forums across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. Notably, he presented courses such as “Uncommon Genres in Arabic Literature” and “Magical Realism in Literature.”
His style is marked by blending the real with the surreal, and he adopts a symbolic view of metaphysical phenomena, interpreting mythology through a monotheistic lens, and reading religious and mythic symbols as manifestations of the duality of good and evil.
